How did a senior economist from the auto industry and a Canadian bank executive partner to create one of the most unique mortgage brokerages in the country? It was quite serendipitous.
Fifteen years ago, Patrick met Allen to help him with refinancing his mortgage. He also taught him to utilize the equity in his home to purchase an investment property, while still paying off his principal residence years sooner than with a traditional mortgage.
Allen, with his uncanny ability to analyze numbers, applied this same strategy for his second, third and even fourth property.
Allen’s experience in wealth creation led him to change his career. In 2018 Allen took his knowledge as a lifelong economist and his accreditations as a financial advisor to become a mortgage agent.
Allen’s mission was to teach Canadians how to build a real estate portfolio using the same proven strategies. Two years later, Allen and his wife, Kinga were able to achieve the production levels required to start their own brokerage. That was no common feat!
After 18 years as a successful sales leader and executive for a schedule I bank, Patrick Gill was making a career change. He had helped thousands of Canadian families achieve their financial goals using the same blueprint he outlined for Allen so many years ago. It was in 2021 that fate would have Allen and Patrick reunite in a chance meeting of perfect timing and in completing the circle started 15 years ago, the two partnered to change the mortgage broker industry.
With similar goals, ethics, and passion for spreading financial literacy, the AYME mortgage strategy was formalized. Let us show you what we have designed.
For over 20 years Patrick has been a noteworthy sales executive and team leader in the financial industry. He has a proven track record of coaching and mentoring high performing sales teams and has shared this success as an industry keynote speaker.
A proponent for financial literacy, Patrick has spent much of his career educating financial advisors and Canadian families using creative and dependable planning strategies to eliminate debt and increase cash flow. In 2017 he was nominated to be a TEDx speaker for the University of Waterloo, giving back and providing invaluable and timeless advice to the next generation.
His belief and passion are rooted in human capital and taking care of his employees and clients comes first. He loves spending time with his wife Sandra and three kids, Carly, Brendan, and Adelyn. In his spare time, you can find Patrick on the golf course or cooking a gourmet meal.
Allen parlayed an Economics degree from York University into a successful career as an economist with some of the top auto manufacturers in the world. His combination of strong business acumen in an engineering environment helped him to create unique tools and reporting and has given Guardian Mortgages and team a great competitive advantage in data analytics.
He has always had a passion for finance and found a huge gap in the mortgage and home buying process when purchasing his first home. He found it to be disjointed and inefficient and most importantly lacking fiduciary duty.
He studied the mortgage industry seeking out industry experts and like many positive thinkers he turned a problem into opportunity. What he found was life changing and was what eventually compelled him to change careers and pursue real estate investing full time. A better way to manage debt!
He is a staunch supporter of financial stewardship and literacy, believing it to be one of the cornerstones of well being and good mental health. A dedicated father to two lively boys and a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Kinga, he lives what he preaches to his agents and clients-achieving balance in life and a strong financial position.
Kinga embodies the values of integrity and service, two qualities that are so necessary in this industry. She began her service to humanity early in her career in mental health research. Her degree in Psychology helped her to understand the interconnectedness of mental health and the lack of awareness that was pervasive in our culture.
The mortgage industry solidified so many of her convictions. It allowed her to transition from a corporate job in the auto industry, to what she refers to as the most liberating experience in her career.
She was able to see the limitless opportunities self-employment provided, working with her husband to build their business legacy. More importantly it allowed her to portray her authentic self – a leader with a strong moral compass and belief in service, embedded in mortgage sales to better her clients’ finances and mental well-being.
She is the backbone of Guardian Mortgages, ensuring everything is working effectively and exceeding industry standards.
Astrid Sucipto is passionate about helping individuals and families with their mortgage freedom. As a homeowner and real estate investor, Astrid's mission is to teach as many people as possible how to restructure their mortgage and cash flow to build their wealth instead of drowning in debt. She has spent years thinking that there has to be a solution outside of the conventional mortgage that most homeowners are locked into, and when Allen showed her that there is indeed a different way to structure a mortgage, it blew her mind!
Astrid believes that every homeowner should learn this strategy. As a result, she decided to combine her diverse background in human resources, operations, marketing and entrepreneurship to join forces with Guardian Mortgages as a mortgage agent.
When Astrid is not working and multi-tasking her different professional priorities, she acts as a chauffeur and spends her time shuttling her two girls around to their activities. Her family comes first and ensuring her family's well-being and security (emotional, physical and financial) is her priority.
In addition to two little girls, Astrid is also a mom to 5 cats. In whatever spare time she has, Astrid enjoys making skincare products (she is a certified natural skincare formulator) and leather crafting.
Dexter's curiosity and problem-solving skills ensure that his clients receive the best mortgage solutions tailored to their specific situations. His goal is to provide the type of service he would want as a client, making him a dedicated advocate for those seeking mortgage assistance.
Outside of the office, Dexter is a family man who spends time with his wife and two energetic boys. He actively participates as a basketball dad, supporting his 11-year-old in his rep team games. Dexter is also a Personal Trainer and fitness enthusiast, highlighting his commitment to helping others in both financial and health matters.
Dexter's journey into becoming a mortgage agent is driven by his dissatisfaction with the solutions he encountered during the purchase and refinancing of his own properties. His knack for finding solutions and constant curiosity has led him to a career where he can be a problem solver for his clients.
Joining the Guardian Mortgages team was a natural choice for Dexter, as it aligns with his desire to help people and utilize mortgages as a tool to achieve this. With a background in the legal and insurance fields, Dexter brings a holistic perspective to the mortgage process, considering all aspects involved.
If you engage Dexter in conversation outside of mortgages, you'll find him enthusiastic about sharing exercise and nutrition tips. His overarching goal is to contribute to the well-being of everyone he interacts with, fostering a positive impact on both their financial and physical health.
Michelle holds a strong belief that people come first. She is a huge proponent of learning and development and is passionate about giving the best support to clients and employees alike.
Having successfully worked with Allen 12 years prior in Financial Services, it is not a coincidence that both Allen and Michelle share this mindset. As fate would have it, the opportunity arose again to work together and Michelle joined Guardian Mortgages in 2020.
Michelle comes with 10+ years in sales, marketing, and business development. Through her industry experience in higher education, financial services, and real estate, Michelle has a proven track record of excellent growth performance across start-ups, private and public organizations.
Michelle received her MBA in Marketing through Northeastern University. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys cooking, travelling and being a devoted dog mom to her 1-year-old Cockapoo pup, Frankie.
Kinga and Allen have been extremely supportive and helpful in suggesting and educating us on mortgage products relevant for our unique situation.
I have worked with different mortgage brokers in the past but working with Michelle and Allen have been a nice change from traditional brokers.
I chose to work with Guardian because they took a comprehensive view of my financial position, and found me the best solution for my needs.
